PPSR

What is the PPSR?

In Australia, all personal property security interests are recorded on the government’s Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR). As a single national register, the PPSR replaces multiple Commonwealth, state and territory registers, and records all security interests against property (except land). Having one national system means individuals and businesses will benefit from a single legal framework, and save time when registering, and searching, for security interests within Australia.

Why do I need a PPS?

A PPS Registration is the legal method to secure your "rights" (and maintain priority) over your goods. Not having a registration means the goods are classified as "unsecured". A PPS Registration helps you minimize credit risk.
